The
gallery has recently moved to Aberfeldy.
Glenlyon Gallery is approximately one and a half hours
drive from Glasgow or Edinburgh. It is best to approach using the
A9 via Perth, turning off at Ballinluig taking the A827 via Grandtully
to Aberfeldy. In the centre of Aberfeldy is a cross roads with traffic
lights.. turn right taking the B846 over Wade's Bridge . After the
bridge you will see signs for the Gallery, which is 1/2 a mile further
on. There is a sharp corner and junction with the small Strathtay
Road to the right. Turn right here The gallery is about 400 yards
to the left.
A purpose built gallery has now been established in
Aberfeldy rather than being in Glenlyon itself. Not only does this
offer easier access for visitors, but it provides a superb venue
to display Alan's work....
"It is an exciting prospect as the new gallery
will allow my work to be seen by a wider audience and I'll havesome
more scope to paint and display larger works. I've always had a
keen sense of adventure and look forward, with enthusiasm, to this
new chapter in my life."
